At Aqua Childrens’ Homes we provide specialist care for children and young people experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Children with emotional and behavioural disorders often communicate through their behaviour what they cannot yet put into words. Our team is trained to look beyond the behaviour and understand the underlying need — whether that is anxiety, attachment difficulty, past trauma or sensory overload — and respond with patience, consistency and care.

For children with EBD, predictability is healing. Our homes offer warm, structured living spaces with calming sensory areas, clear daily routines and consistent boundaries delivered with kindness. Each child has a personalised space they can call their own — a place to rest, reflect and recover.
Trauma-Informed & Evidence-Based
We blend proven therapeutic models — including PACE, attachment-based practice, CBT-informed strategies and positive behaviour support — into everyday life. Each child has a tailored care plan co-developed with their social worker, school and (where appropriate) family, focused on building emotional regulation, self-esteem and healthy relationships.
Reaching Their Full Potential
We work hand-in-hand with schools, tutors and CAMHS to make sure every child stays engaged in learning and continues to make progress — academically, socially and emotionally. Outcomes are reviewed regularly so the care we provide stays aligned with each young person’s evolving needs.
